Reflective Statement

When we started this academic year, maya was a completely new interface that's I had not really used before. Although I had seen a few online videos, actually using maya was quite unknown. Being eased in with making the Lego blocks and the car helped to show what Maya is capable, there for making it quite enjoyable. Over time, I have gotten a small handle on the program but there are still elements that will need to be gone over again. Though the lessons, projects and online tutorial, we had learnt the basic controls. Also, elements such as lighting, adding textures, modelling/ rigging/ skinning etc.

For myself, I felt that keeping on top of the tutorials went well. Doing this meant when it came to the WIM project, I had a good understanding on modeling.
Lighting seems to be quite a problem for me, also understanding frame rates to real time. To improve in the future, more practise and tutorials we help me gain the knowledge I need. Continuous practise with Maya over the summer holidays will ensure that I dont go rusty, an will help to learn new skills.

In terms of premiere and after effects, I know Premeire much more as I haven't used After Effects much. For my past animatics, they have turned out well and the controls have become much easier in Premiere.  Another goal to move forward with is to explore both of these programs ins much more detail. These programs are vital in making effective animations, and gaining an early handle on them will help me out int he long run.
