Although not to do with environment, I tried a little experimentation with cell shading. This was scanned in to Photoshop from my sketch book, painted with Kyle's carton Ink Brush, planned lighting, applied multiply and overlay layers with warm and cool tones, and finally added a rim light. I wasn't sure how to make a background that would compliment it, trying something not so saturated so the will monster standd out more. Inspiration came from Shihab Aldeen and brush work line styles of painting, I wanted to keep it simple but detailed.
