Maya class03 - AOV's

AOV's (also known as render passes),  allowing us to pick out elements in our scene to see the effects they are having when being rendered. These include Diffuse, specular, AO, albedo, volume and many more found via AOV menu. For the Ambient Occlusion and Wireframe, these have to be made as material overrides via the render layer menus.

AOV's/Render Passes can be used for animation by creating black and white passes (white being visible and black being invisible) and then use AE to create a complex animation with still images. Doing this will reduce render time massively and is a technique I will try to use ion my final animation.
