With the mesh now completed, laying out the UV's was next to avoid texture stretching. The head has proven to be quite a challenge and although the current layout works, there is a lot of room for improvement. however, the body UV's has worked out quite well.
For now I am going to move on with rigging and will come back to re-laying out the UV's for the head at a bit of a later date, I feel I may need some advice on how to lay them out better first.
